Raised Ink Printing is is a very specialist method of printing which produces a very unique 3D and tactile print. The exact printing method is rather complex but basically involves a specially formulated ink and a few other ingredients that expand through a slow process of high heat application and TLC. A very striking and unusual printed ribbon, ideal for high profile applications.

Advantages:

• Can be printed on a very wide range of ribbon. Including Grosgrain, Cotton etc.
• Is very hard wearing and can be machine washed on low temperatures.

Disadvantages:

• Due to the complexity of the printing process, the minimum order quantity is quite high. (1000m for Polyester satins & 2000 for Cottons) -
  Lead times are on average 6 - 8 weeks for production.
• Can only print in a single colour base including Gold & Silver
• origination charge is higher than Hot Foil.
